Dubai's High Joint opening in Riyadh

Top Dubai burger bar High Joint is opening in Riyadh – with a difference

Dubai-born, award-winning burger joint will open in the Saudi capital in November

Big on burgers? You’re not alone. And soon, you’ll have another burger bar to try, with news that Dubai’s High Joint is opening in Riyadh this November. And this award-winner means serious burger business.

And this is no part-time pop-up – High Joint will open multiple locations across the capital by the middle of November, with permanent, bricks-and-mortar restaurants.

But don’t expect the menu to be a copy-and-paste job from the venue’s two (soon to be three) Dubai outposts.

According to operators, Dubai’s High Joint is opening in Riyadh to bring an almost-all-new menu to town, specially curated with local tastes in mind, while also bringing along top sellers from its hometown, including the OG smash-hit Hi Jamz, as well as the hefty Waffle Waffle, The H and the High Chicken.

Since starting out life just three years ago as a tiny eight-seater burger bar in a residential neighbourhood in Dubai, High Joint has become one of the emirate’s best-loved burger brands, even being declared Dubai’s Greatest Hellmann’s Burger, during a citywide hunt led by Time Out Dubai. “I think Riyadh has an amazing food scene and boasts a lot of food concepts that you won’t find outside Saudia Arabia. It’s always good to have more variety, which is why we wanted to bring High Joint to the capital,” said founder Dr Hamad Al Awar, speaking of Dubai’s High Joint opening in Riyadh.

“We started High Joint from our very tiny in size but huge in character branch in Al Manara. A purely homegrown brand by three enthusiastic Emirati food lovers who wanted to bring people together from all over the world from that lovely and simple food – meat between two buns.

“What we at High Joint bring is the diversity that Dubai blends in terms of being a melting pot of flavours and culture. We are inspired by all the different nationalities that live in Dubai and this shows in our burgers. What we can promise is to bring our explosion of flavours which is our entire brand essence and we’re looking forward to learning even more from our guests in Riyadh.”

High Joint’s team have also done their homework.

“We have gone around Riyadh to explore the food scene to try out every single burger place there is. We’ve come up with a couple of new burgers that will be exclusive to Saudi Arabia but prepared in our signature High Joint way.”
