How does sushi in the sky sound? It’s one of the new dining experiences at Riyadh Season 2022 with the opening of the Clap Riyadh pop-up.
The Japanese eatery has come to Riyadh Season’s aptly named Riyadh Sky zone for a meal above the ground. You can sample sushi, sashimi and other things that draw inspiration rom Tokyo at the Clap Riyadh pop-up on the rooftop of Majdoul Tower as you take in the endless views of Riyadh.
Clap is all about locations with a view. Following vertiginous openings in Beirut and Dubai, along with a one-toque status at the Gault & Millau 2022 Awards, the Riyadh pop-up marks the third location in the Middle East. The pop-up at Majdoul Tower is temporary, but an equally dramatic permanent Clap location will open in Ramla Tower.
Diners can soak up the views from the open-air terrace, lounge and indoor space while listening to a weekly lineup of local and international DJs.
Wondering what’s on the menu? Enjoy signature Kyoen sushi platter and rock shrimp at Clap Riyadh. Finish with chocolate fondant, matcha cheesecake and stormy yuzu baba with pineapple marmalade, paired with a mocktail crafted from the in-house mixologists. How’s the Sakura Glory with plum compote, jasmine, tonka bean and citrus sound?
Riyadh Sky is one of 15 Riyadh Season 2022 zones that promises to have us (yup) dining in the sky. The zone is located across three areas including Merwas at Boulevard Riyadh City, Clap Riyadh at Majdoul Tower and Hellenka at Riyadh’s Water Tower.
