Levantine cuisine has always been a crowd favourite, from the delicious kebabs, all the way to the tasty maqlobeh. We are thrilled to hear that Awani will be opening a new location in the ever-popular Al-Nakheel Mall.
Awani is dedicated to serving up authentic Eastern Mediterranean food straight off the grill. This cool new restaurant is the second branch to open in the Kingdom, as the first one is located inside the Zone.
The new branch at Al-Nakheel Mall has traditional décor, along with the Levant-inspired artwork and a rustic setting. While the menu (which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) will be taking a dive into the culture and cuisines of Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, and Jordan.
The restaurant aims to revive traditions from the region by using old-school tools along with tried and tested techniques, then fusing them with modern flavours. The signature items on the menu are chicken and beef shawarma, Jordanian mansaf and eggplant sajiyeh. They also offer hot and cold mezze platters, along with four Fatteh fusions, hummus blends and much more.
Have a sweet tooth? Good news. They serve scrumptious desserts, ranging from the cheese kunafa to the crumble date cake. Al-Nakheel, here we come.
