% Arabica finally opens in Riyadh’s The Zone

The Japanese speciality coffee shop is already causing a stir

All the way from Kyoto and after already opening in nearly the entire GCC, % Arabica have a new branch that has finally opened here in Riyadh. As the brand serves some of the best coffee in the Gulf, we are so excited that they can now call Saudi Arabia home.

% Arabica‘s new branch opened this week in The Zone, and it is their 108th location in the world. Starting off all the way in Japan, you can spot their signature interior from a mile off.

Painted in their signature white, it’s all about minimalism and in line with a style Saudi coffee shops seem to be loving lately. Matching their other locations, designed by Nomura Kougeisha, they also have mirrored ceilings and exclusive machinery like their customised Slayer Espresso.

Whether it’s the sleek curved doorways lined with mirrors or the minimalistic logos on the coffee cups, their aesthetic is definitely one that is Insta-ready. The coffees themselves are just as photogenic as the interiors.

There is already a buzz about the new coffee shop, as there were crowds forming on the opening day and people are still lining up to get a cup after the much-anticipated opening. The most popular items are the Spanish latte (iced and cold), flat white and dark latte.

Our expectations are high, and are our caffeine needs are higher. Here in Riyadh, we sure do love our coffee and when the coffee is as renowned as % Arabica, we can’t help but feel like our cups are half full.
