The Heritage Commission just registered 253 more sites in Saudi Arabia’s Aseer and Ha’il regions.
The sites were registered in the National Antiquities Register in order to explore and preserve Saudi Arabia’s rich heritage sites. The Heritage Commission registered 141 archaeological sites in Aseer and 112 sites in Hail.
The sites were largely covered in a large number of inscriptions, old-time drawings, and rock tags that date way back to the prehistoric ages, along with some Islamic inscriptions and writings.

The Heritage Commission calls on people to reach out in order to preserve the cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia through the Balagh platform and the commission’s Twitter account and the commission’s branches across Saudi regions. Its goal is to implement a national strategy to preserve and celebrate the diverse elements of the Saudi Arabian heritage.
The commission was launched by the Saudi Ministry of Culture and aims to perfectly curate and create a thriving heritage industry that encourages creative locals eligible to partake in national and international events.
