The first Riyadh Philosophy Conference comes to town

Get your thinking caps on – the workshops and lectures kick off on December 8

Riyadh, are you ready to question everything? Well, that sounds a little dramatic, but that’s basically what philosophy is. The Riyadh Philosophy Conference takes place from December 8-10 at King Fahd Library.

The event aims to open up the philosophy discussion to people of all ages by offering workshops and lectures suitable for every academic background. The Riyadh Philosophy Conference will feature an interactive space that will include a high-tech Philosophy Tree that explores the subject of unpredictability through history.

They also offer a children’s space so you can get the kids questioning the future. The space includes two workshops per day for children aged 12 and 13. While bookworms will love the amazing library and the dedicated reading village aimed at kids.

The Riyadh Philosophy Conference will also explore topics like new scientific paradigms, neuro-philosophy and the vastness of time, as seen through the theme of unpredictability. The three-day program will also include discussions of philosophy in terms of Islam, the challenges of enquiry, and philosophy for the future.

This will be the very first conference of its kind in the capital, and it aims to become an annual event covering different themes each year. This year’s event will bring together 50 figures from more than 15 countries, and it hopes to spark intellectual conversations among people from all walks of life.
