Riyadh, here’s your chance to experience social media star Salt Bae, Nusret Gökçe’s latest venture. Opening in U Walk, the new restaurant Nusr-Et Steakhouse is named after him and is a steakhouse with a difference.
On the menu, you’ll see starters like beef carpaccio and sushi. For mains, the restaurant will be serving steaks, spaghetti and ribs, which all come from recipes that are hand-crafted by the man himself.
The venue itself is a huge space, complete with heavy herringbone-patterned double doors (talk about a grand opening). Nusret was seen opening the doors of the huge establishment on his Instagram, letting everyone know that Nusr-Et Steakhouse is open for business.
Walking in you’ll be greeted by dapper waiters and a huge selection of meats enclosed in a glass cabinet. Meat lovers rejoice as Salt Bae’s restaurant offers you a luxurious selection of steaks.
Salt Bae has plenty of followers across social media, especially for his unique way of seasoning food. Images of him simply turning his wrist to sprinkle salt over food have notched up thousands of double taps. He has since become one of the most-talked-about foodie social media stars, as he amassed almost 39.9 million followers on Instagram.
As for his latest location in Riyadh, U Walk is one of the most popular hangout spots in the capital. The area has a buzzing atmosphere, thanks to its cafés and restaurants, many of which offer alfresco dining.
If you’re a big spender, then Nusr-Et Steakhouse is for you. Salt Bae’s venues are known for having expensive food on the menu, with one user sharing a receipt of £37,023 at his London restaurant. The restaurant is all very bling-bling, as it served gold crusted steaks and burgers. So if you have the budget and this sounds like your cup of gold-dusted tea, then keep this on your food radar.
