Grand Hyatt: The Red Sea

The Red Sea welcomes an exciting Grand Hyatt hotel

The resort will be by a dormant volcano and heritage sites

The kingdom first opened its doors to tourists back in 2019, and since then some of the most amazing projects have found their way to Saudi Arabia as a part of Saudi Vision 2030. Just take a look at The Red Sea Development, which is now welcoming the Grand Hyatt: The Red Sea.

Hyatt Hotel has about 1,000 hotels across 68 countries, but the Grand Hyatt: The Red Sea is set to be one of its most exciting projects. The hotel will be situated on the west coast of Saudi Arabia’s Shaura Island, and will include 430-rooms across an archipelago of 90 pristine islands.

The resort will include cascading dunes, a mountain view, a few dormant volcanoes (emphasis on dormant), and ancient cultural heritage sites. The resort will also boast an exclusive marina and an eighteen-hole golf course.

While this all sounds intriguing, the best part about it is the fact that this destination is expected to run fully on renewable energy. Tying in perfectly with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman’s new green initiative, it aims to reach a net-zero of carbon emissions by the year 2060. The first phase of development for this project is well underway and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. So, not too long to wait.
