Take a look at the winners of the Food Photographer of the Year awards

From joyful market stall owners to busy home cooks, these are the best photos of food from around the world

Surrounded by plumes of steam and golden light, this street food cook is engrossed in his work. The atmospheric photograph was taken by Debdatta Chakraborty of a kebab seller in a backstreet of Srinagar. The sizzling, colourful picture is so evocative, you can almost smell it.

The image is the overall winner of the Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year, which picks the best gastronomic picks from over thousands of entries from more than 60 countries across the world.

Photographs taken by the 2022 finalists will go on display at The Royal Photographic Society in Bristol from November 20 to December 12, 2022. Take a look at some of our favourites:
